Cocoon Company Silk duvet 140×220 Mulberry Peace Silk
A pram duvet with kapok is perfect for when the baby is going to sleep or on a trip in the pram. A pram duvet is smaller than an ordinary 70 × 100 cm baby duvet, and is therefore easier to fit in the pram.
A pram duvet with kapok is especially popular due to the fantastic breathable, antibacterial and temperature-regulating properties of kapok fiber, which give your child the best conditions for a comfortable sleep and ride in the pram.
What is Kapok?
Kapok is a soft natural fiber that originates from the seed capsule on the kapok tree Ceiba Pentranda. The trees grow wild in the tropical rainforests of southern and central America, India and the western part of Africa.
The kapok fiber contains 80% air and is the lightest in the world. The high content of air makes kapok incredible temperature-regulating and breathable. Around the fiber lies a thin layer of wax, which prevents kapok from absorbing water. Instead, kapok draws moisture through the fiber and away from the body. You will therefore experience that your kapok products never feel humid or wet.
Sleeping products with kapok are one of the best choices for those who have problems with house dust mite allergy. The kapok fiber contains a natural bitter substance that bacteria and house dust mites cannot live in. It is also because of this bitterness that the kapok tree is not attacked by pests. Therefore, neither pesticides nor insecticides were used during the production of kapok.
Kapok is incredibly fragile to work with, and the fiber breaks easily. This is also why our kapok products are both sewn and stopped by hand. Therefore, you may find slight variations in your kapok products.
When you choose to invest in a kapok product, you also invest in a 100% sustainable product. The production of kapok helps to preserve tropical rainforest. The locals who live by the rainforests harvest kapok from the kapok trees year by year. The income they get from selling kapok is a big part of the income. Thus, when you buy a kapok product, you invest in the preservation of the rainforests and secures an income for the local population.
A kapok baby duvet is especially popular due to the kapok fiber’s amazing temperature-regulating and breathable properties. With a kapok baby duvet, your child gets a comfy night’s sleep that is neither too cold nor hot.
The baby duvet with kapok is a year-round duvet and is categorized as cool to medium warm. 100% organic – 100% free of harmful chemicals – 0% worries.
It is possible to wash the baby duvet, just read our washing instructions carefully before washing.

With a baby duvet with corn fiber, your child gets a good night’s sleep. A maize baby duvet is breathable and soft to sleep with. The maize baby duvet is a medium warm year-round duvet, and will suit most children.
Cocoon’s vegan alternative to a traditional down duvet.
The maize fiber is a man-made biofiber that is constructed so that the fiber has the best insulating and breathable properties that we know from wool and kapok. The product line combines the best of two worlds – the environmental benefits and the fantastic performance of the fiber.
Like the wool fiber, the corn fiber has a hollow fiber structure, which gives the corn fiber its excellent and unique temperature-regulating properties. At the same time, the corn fiber is breathable but water resistant just like the kapok fiber. This means that the corn fiber passes the moisture through the product rather than absorbs it. This will keep your corn product dry and soft throughout the night.
Amazing Maize products have almost the same airy and light feeling as traditional feather and down comforters. The soft cover is made by 100% organic certified cotton and has not been treated with any kind of chemicals – both for your sake and for the nature’s sake.
The maize fiber is the first fiber made from 100% recyclable resources. The unique biofiber is our green counterpart to today’s synthetic and oil-based plastic fibers. Synthetic and plastic fibers cannot be degraded naturally or recycled optimally and is a burden to the globe and us as residents of it. The natural maize fiber contributes to a simple and environmentally friendly production. It protects the same nature from which our raw materials originate and which we all share.
Easy to wash, just follow our washing instructions.

Animal Welfare
Cocoon Company has chosen to use wool from Merino sheep, who lives freely in Spain’s mountains. They produce a longer wool due to the colder climate. Choosing a longer wool makes our products airier, more breathable and better temperature-regulating.
When choosing wool suppliers, it is not only the quality of the merino wool that is important, but also that the wool is produced on the terms of the animals. Thus, they only use wool from Merino sheep who lives freely, is cut in a proper and fair manner and sheep that are not subject to mulesing.
